Delete your account & data

You can delete your KiddieBase account and all associated data at any time. There are two ways to do it, described below. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Option 1 — Delete in the app (fastest)
- Open KiddieBase and sign in.
- Go to Profile → Settings → Account.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Your account and its data are removed immediately from the live service.
Option 2 — Request by email
If you can no longer access the app, email [email protected] from the email address on your account (or the phone number you registered with) and ask us to delete your account. We verify the request and complete it within 30 days, usually much sooner.
What gets deleted
- Your profile and login credentials (email/phone, password, linked Google/Apple sign-in).
- Any daycare you own that has no other staff, and its children's profiles, activity feed, photos, attendance, and messages.
- Push-notification tokens and device information.
- Your billing customer record at Stripe, our payment processor. Deleting the account also cancels any active subscription, so you are not billed again. Stripe keeps the transaction records it is legally required to keep as merchant of record for its own compliance; those contain no KiddieBase content.
If you are a staff member of a daycare you do not own, deleting your account removes you and your personal data; the daycare's records stay with its owner.
What may be retained, and for how long
- Encrypted backups are rotated out within 30 days of deletion.
- A minimal, anonymised record of the deletion may be kept where required to comply with legal, tax, or fraud-prevention obligations. It contains no profile content and cannot be used to re-identify you.
We do not sell data, use it for advertising, or share it with third-party data brokers.
Children's data (COPPA / GDPR-K)
Children's information in KiddieBase is entered by their daycare and guardians within a closed circle. A parent, guardian, or the daycare owner can request deletion of a child's data at any time in the app or by emailing [email protected]. See our Privacy Policy for full details of your rights.
Export your data first
Want a copy before you go? You can export your data in the app (Settings → Account → Export data) or request an export by email. We provide it in a portable format within 30 days.
